Per Nancy Knight '76, "I am sorry to report the passing of Jorge Estrada
Class of 1976. "Jorge Ivan Estrada, 64, died June 21, 2021 in Colorado
Springs, Colorado. He was born May 26, 1957 to Javier and Aseneth Estrada
in Medellín, Colombia. Jorge was an insurance salesman. He is preceded in
death by his parents, Javier and Aseneth Estrada. Jorge is survived by his
three sisters, Mary Estrada, Blanca L. (Floriberto) Macedo, and Catalina
(John) Roman; his three nephews, Tony, Rick, and Scott; and his four
nieces, Lisa, Marissa, Laura, and Nicole." Jorge attended Mark Twain Elementary, Jack London Junior High and Wheeling High School. Sometime after attending college, he moved to Colorado as he enjoyed the outdoors and fly fishing. On June 14, 2021 while riding his bicycle in Colorado Springs, CO he was hit by a pickup truck. He died a week later. He saved four people's lives with organ donations. His cremains were buried on Pikes Peak at one of his favorite fishing spots.
