(Shaara) Hannah-Nana, Mimi to Brinlee Hope and Grady Asher.

infectious personality that touched those she knew in a positive
way. She had a quick wit, hearty laugh, and joyful disposition. A
trusted friend, strong woman, and confidant to many. Her love of
the water brought her to Florida where she raised her family who
she loved with all of her heart and in return they whole heartily
loved her. She was known for her love of food, games, and people.
She lives on through her children and grandchildren. Loved by
many, missed by all. Covell Funeral Home. Published in The Herald

It's with great sorrow I announce that my
sister Karen IRMITER Johnson, 53, class of 1974 has died. On
April 19th, she suffered a seizure while at cooking class. She was
rushed to the hospital and two days later told she had a brain
tumor the size of a lemon. She had brain surgery two weeks later,
came out of that fine and was released 6 days later to go home.
She wasn't home more that half an hour before collapsing and
rushed back to the hospital. Two days later, we removed her from
life support. In 4 weeks, she was gone.
She was living in Bradenton, Florida and
is survived by her son Asher, 26 and his wife Shaara and their two
children Brinlee age 2 and her brother Grady 6 months. Karen's'
daughter Hannah is 25. All reside in Bradenton.
We had a sunset memorial on the beach in
Bradenton with about 100 mourners in attendance. The following day
we chartered a boat and spread her ashes over the Gulf.
Not only have I lost my sister but also my
best friend and traveling companion. She was supposed to go with
me to Japan at the end of this July but did not survive long
enough. I am going to go to Japan and will be taking some of
Karen's ashes to spread out over the water in Japan. - Marti
