Sad news was related to be by Ken
May, "Just
to let you all know that our classmate and my good friend Bruce Bailey
passed away this morning at 1:29am after a long and gallant fight against
cancer. He had his wife Jan, his mom Dora, his dad Carroll, and his
younger sister Kim there for him. A friend for 55 years, Bruce wasn’t
popular in high school but was contacted often the past few months by his
“big 3”, Leslie Gibson,
Teri Babbini-Murphy, and
Connie Reif Hoos. He so enjoyed
telling me how you three made his day. Personally, I’d like to thank all
of you for your prayers and good wishes for Bruce. This class is special
and you showed why during this difficult time. The last time a few days
ago that Bruce and I were able to speak to each other before he could no
longer do so, I had the opportunity to tell him that I loved him. He liked
to refer to me as his BFF, a moniker I will cherish forever. Godspeed my
friend."
