I was informed this morning that WHS alumni Carolyn
'Carrie' Stevens Alexander '74 passed away on November
10, 2018. Carolyn has an older sister Joan Stevens in the class of
1971 but Joan is on the missing list for her class.
Here is Carrie's obituary from the Gluecart Funeral Home:
Carolyn Mary Alexander Of Hoffman Estates
Carolyn Mary Alexander was born July 25, 1956 in Chicago to Carl and Jacqueline (Balsavich) Stevens. She died November 10, 2018 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
Carolyn (also known as Carrie) loved God abundantly and that love
overflowed to her family and friends. She was a faithful and
devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Some of her greatest joys
was to be in Jesus’ Presence in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
and to spend time with her family, especially her five
grandchildren. She taught by example what it means to be
self-giving and joyful. She also enjoyed leading church ministries
such as Baptism Preparation and Eucharistic Adoration, and growing
in her Catholic Faith through Bible study.
Carrie is survived by her husband Bob Alexander; her children
Maria (Matthew) Ryan, Fr. Matthew Alexander, and Sarah (Michael)
Campbell; her grandchildren John, Bernadette, Liam, Ronan and
Therese; her sisters Joan (Dale) Little, Cynthia Bannon, Jane
(John) Young, and by many extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Stephen and Tess
Kujawa, Frank and Gertrude Balsavich, and by her parents.

away on 02/15/2018. Tim didn’t have a senior picture in the ‘74 yearbook
so the picture above is his Junior year photo. Here is a copy of the
