One of the sad parts of planning a class reunion is the discovery, that a
classmate has passed away. The following information was sent to
Karen Peterson Westrich today. "Dear Karen, I am sorry to advise that your classmate, Robert Wozny, passed away eight years ago, July 27, 2011. He was diagnosed with very aggressive brain tumor (Stage 4) in June of 2011. After only 6 weeks of daily radiation and weekly chemo he lost the battle with cancer that he fought so hard to beat. I know he will be there to celebrate your class reunion in spirit. And as you guys talk about and celebrate the Cubs finally winning the World Series, I know my husband, Bob, will be smiling from heaven as he was one of the most loyal and dedicated Cubs fans I will ever know and love. Have a great time at your 45th class reunion. Go Cubbies!!! Jane Wozny - jfbw235@hotmail.com"

I'm sorry to have to report that Scott Anthony Pusieko '74 passed away sometime a day or two before last Thursday 07/11/2019. He died in his home, alone. The suspected cause of death was sleep apnea and cardio megaly. Scott was the middle child of 3 boys. Their mom, Dolores worked in the WHS Library. The oldest son Mark, was class of 1970 and he passed away in 2005 from Leukemia. The youngest of the 3, Jeff, graduated sometime after 1976 because he's not in the alumni database. He died of sleep apnea and cardio megaly too. Dolores is still alive at 93 years old and living in an assisted living center in Stevenspoint, WI. Scott had been living in Junction City, WA at the time of his death. The police did a welfare check on Scott on 07/11/2019. The information I received is that the police said he'd probably been dead a day or two. Scott never married and had no children. Rest in Peace Scott. The information sent to me was from Scott's 3rd cousin Clarice Lynn Axen '71 |
