11/01/2021 David Leslie Kulieke
I received this email from John Haas today, "Inasmuch as you have always been the repository for this information, I am passing along some sad news, of which you may already be aware. David L. Kulieke (WHS class of 1968) passed away October 5, 2021, as a result of a fall he suffered at his Lincolnshire home. He is survived by his wife, Marilynn, children, Lauren, Brian and Ellen, and 5 grandchildren.

You and your family will remember the Kuliekes as early and long-time residents of Prospect Heights, living on the east side of Elmhurst Road in the same block as the Community Church where they were parishioners. Dave had an older sister, Adrienne, and a younger brother, Tom, who I believe was in the class of '71. Tom died in 2010.

Dave's dad, Alvin Kulieke, was the first and long-tenured principal at Prospect High School.

I can recall, at age 10 or 11, attending football and basketball games with Dave at Prospect. He became an educator and musician who taught many years at Lake Forest Country Day School and taught private music lessons to countless students. We've lost one of the good ones with Dave's passing--a terrific individual.

Dave attended our 50-year class reunion."
Rest in Peace Dave.

01/03/2020 Julie A. Noakes I I wanted to follow up on the information that Julie Noakes Reining passed away early last year. Julie's younger brother Perry is a classmate of mine and he informed me via email that Julie had passed away from a rare ear canal cancer and had gone through radiation and chemotherapy, but the cancer had metastasized to her brain. Perry also sent me a link to Julie's obituary in the Peoria Journal Star news paper:
