This is not turning out to be a good year for the class of 1970 :-(. Arthur "Skip" Maihack, has passed away.

Skip Maihack ‘70. Most knew Skip as Skip Maihack but his real name is Arthur W. Therrien. His father died when Skip was young and when his mother remarried Skip used Maihack. Skip has a 1/2 sister, Cheryl who is 10 or 11 years younger than Skip.

Arthur W. Therrien, age 62, of Wheeling. Brother of Cheryl (Michael Czerwionka) Maihack. Son of the late Arthur Therrien Sr. and the late Marian (Erwin) Maihack. Memorial Visitation Saturday 2pm until a life celebration service at 3:30pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S Milwaukee Ave, (2 blocks South of Dundee) Wheeling.

Sad news to report a little belatedly. Gary E. Fry '70 passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 16, 2014. I was provided this information by Gary's daughter Courtney Fry Fredrick. Gary was married to Christine Mueller '69. Gary also has a younger sibling WHS alumni, Kevin Fry '76.

Sad news to report, Thursday Feb. 20,2014 Sammy Bingham class of 1970 passed away. Arrangements will be made today at Kolssak funeral home in Wheeling this afternoon. Funeral mass will be at St. Mary Parish in Buffalo Grove. Sam had a severe stroke August 1st. He seemed to be getting better but the recovery was very hard and slow going.

Sammy R. Bingham age 61 of Buffalo Grove, left this world on February 20^th, 2014 to begin his new life with our heavenly Father. He will be greatly missed. Beloved husband of Karen nee Schwind for 42 years. Loving dad of Robert (Jamie) and Kenneth (Nicole) Bingham. Dear grandfather of Alex, Sean and Logan. Fond brother of Sherry Bingham. Cherished son of Lavonne and the late Clay Jack Bingham. Loved son in-law of Betty and the late Roland Schwind. Fond Grandson of Erie and the late Jessie Adkins and the late Annie and the late Hassell Bingham. Uncle of Mike and Mary Holm. Sam retired from District 214 after 31 years of service.

Funeral Prayers Tuesday 9:15 am at Kolssak Funeral Home 189 S. Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling for 10 am Life Celebration Mass at St. Mary Church, Buffalo Grove.
