I am sorry to have to report that Vicki J Wirt Nano passed away back on December 21st of 2015.  I was provided this information by Vicki’s younger sister Peggy Wirt Alexander ’74 just today (11/18/2018).  Vicki had two other sisters who also graduated from WHS, Linda Wirt Chada ’67, and Sharon Wirt Schmitz ’69. 

I was unable to find an obituary for Vicki online only that her burial was handled by Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL.

I found out today through Chuck’s younger sister, Cindy Hohs Braun ‘76, that Chuck died either yesterday or today.  Chuck had been living in Round Lake, IL. 

Before graduation Chuck enlisted in the US Navy and didn’t graduate with the Class of 1970, but that doesn’t make him any less a part of those years at WHS.

I apologize for the first picture it was Chuck’s sophomore year picture in the 1968 yearbook.  The second was taken from his Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/charles.hohs.1.

I hope you will visit his Facebook page and offer some memories of Chuck so they can be shared by his sister and family.

Chuck’s sister Bonnie Hohs Melonas was in the class of 1971.  Chuck’s other sister Susan Hohs Parker ’75 passed away in November of 2006.

I’m sorry to have to report that Debra H. Smith, passed away on Easter Sunday, 04/01/2018 from a brain aneurism.  I received this news from Ken Smith ’74, Debbie’s younger brother.  Debra also has several other siblings that went to WHS. Nita Smith ’68, Edward ‘Ned’ Smith ’71.  Another sister Donna Marie Smith ’72 preceded Debbie in death.  Debbie didn’t have a senior picture, so the picture above was her junior year picture in the 1969 Lair yearbook.
