Jaine Cochran Jacobson, sadly has passed away after a
long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Jaine has a younger sibling
Sue Cochran Craig, who started
at Wheeling her freshman year, but finished up at Hersey. Sue was in the
class of 1971. I have no additional information about funeral
arrangements at this time. As soon as I get that information I will post
it here.

A funeral service for Jane Jacobson (nee
Cochran), 61, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Prospect Heights
Community Church, 400 N. Elmhurst Road, Prospect Heights.
Interment will be in Randhill Park Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home and
Randhill Park Cemetery, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Mrs.
Jacobson was a school nurse for District 96 Kildeer and a proud
member of Prospect Heights Community Church. She was the beloved
wife of Ira "Butch" Jacobson; loving mother of Jamie Rininger,
Kristie (Jack) Rininger, Kim (Jay) Loomis and Bob Jacobson;
cherished Nana of Ryan Jacob Rininger and Alexis Jane Rininger;
treasured daughter of John and the late Eleanor "Billie" Cochran;
fond sister of Sue (Charley) Craig, Jack (Karen) Cochran and Bob
Cochran; and dear aunt and friend of many. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Alzheimer Disease Association, 225 N.
Michigan Ave., 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601. For information,

More sad news, Elvera "Vera" Belpulsi Durbin passed away
on Monday, August 17th, 2009 after losing her battle with ovarian cancer.
This information was provided to me by Vera's younger sister Lin
Belpulsi Rakittke '72. There will be a memorial service for
Vera on Saturday, Aug. 29th, in Vandalia IL at the First United Methodist
Church on Fourth St. Visitation with the family at 9:30 a.m., service at
10:30 a.m., luncheon at the church following the service.

Judy Anderson Sauer passed away on July 10, 2009.
Here is her obituary:

Judy
J. Sauer SPRING GROVE - Judy J. Sauer, 61, of Spring Grove, died
Friday, July 10, 2009, surrounded by family members at Woodstock
Health Care Center in Kenosha, Wis., after an illness for five
years.
She was born Feb. 22, 1948, in Evanston, to the
late Frank T. and Rosemary (LaJoie) Anderson. She was married to
David Sauer on July 31, 1971, in Prospect Heights.
She was
a graduate of Wheeling High School in 1966. She was a former Girl
Scout leader for many years.
She was a member of Grace
Lutheran Church in Richmond, where she was a Sunday school teacher
and a member of the choir for many years. She designed and made
the many banners that decorate the church.
She is survived
by her husband, Dave; two daughters, Emily (Scott) Horrell of
Mason City, Iowa, and Carolyn Sauer of Spring Grove; a grandson,
Andrew Liam Horrell; a sister, Carol Anderson of Palatine; and a
brother, Frank Anderson of California.
She was preceded in
death by her parents.
The visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, July 15, at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, 10011 Main St.,
Richmond. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at Grace
Lutheran Church, 6000 Broadway, Richmond. The Rev. Robert Kinnear
will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in
Greenwood.
Memorials may be made in her name to Grace
Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in Richmond.
