09/29/2009 Shannon Scott

Update on Shannon Scott:  Steve (Emil) and I celebrated our 21st anniversary this year!  Only took me 3 tries to get it more or less right. We moved to Shorewood, MN in 2005 for Steve's career.  I've been "officially" disabled since 2002 because of back & other health probs, so we go where he has the best opportunity.  Left our completely remodeled/updated home of 17 yrs. in Mundelein and are now in a 1,000 sq. ft. cottage that needs it all!  So much for our "golden" years.

My son, Alex (Mrazek) turned 33 in September!!  In HS he was a nationally-ranked gymnast; graduated from the U of I with a degree in Poly Sci, ended up in the on-line music biz with Rolling Stone.com, then UniversalMusic.com, and is now a manager with Yahoo in the San Diego area.  He's still very much a musician, writing/composing/recording/playing, and when not working (and traveling all over the globe!) or doing his music thing, he's surfing.  Steve and I are stilll very close to Alex, and very very very proud of him!  It's a thrill to see your kid grow into a really cool adult, and I feel blessed!  Now all he needs to do is finally find that special woman and gift me with a DIL and grandchild, and I'll be even happier!
