Dave Barrie passed away on 12/18/2021. This was initally reported by Ellen Drinkwater Homp (67), and confirmed by Dave's younger brother Tom Barrie (72). Dave was married to Janette Machione since high school. Dave didn't gradaute with the class and had no senior or junior year pictures in the yearbooks. I have no information at this time about funeral arrangements or a celebration of life. Madelaine A. Ewing passed away sometime over the weekend of August 28-29, 2001 in her apartment in Wheeling, IL. A wellness check by the Wheeling PD made the discovery. This information was provided to me by Madelaine's younger brother Rodger Ewing '71. Madelaine had three siblings that graduated from WHS. Older sister Jean F. Ewing Umbdenstock '66, Rodger M. Ewing '71, and Daniel H. Ewing '76. No funeral or celebration of live arrangements have been set yet.

Another passing of a WHS Class of 1967 class member. Dale Williamson, aka Jean Zyla passed away on May 18th, 2021. The following is an email from Jean's Significant Male Other (SMO), Dean DePew

"She was a wonderful lady and I loved her so… in 2017 she had cancer treatment and was given an all clear we went skiing in January 2020 and she had a pretty bad fall got a concussion and she thought she broke her tailbone. But it just didn’t get better and it turned out that the cancer was back essentially what happened was that the cancer tumors were restricting her colon so badly that she was unable to digest food so she would eat it and it would just back up and not process. On The morning of May 18 of this year she lost her battle with that cancer. As you know she was a very small lady she only weighed about 105 pounds on a good day. When she passed away, she was probably less than 70 pounds. We have two upcoming events a possession giveaway and a celebration of life. Celebration of Jean's Life - Sunday, Sept 19th, 1:30 PM, Root River Parkway South, Picnic Area & Shelter #3, Milwaukee, WI. 1) Open House "Giveaway" - Fri, Aug 13th, 5:30 - 8:30 PM, and Sat, Aug 14th, 11 AM - 4 PM. To honor Jean's generosity and commitment to service, we are working to meaningfully re-home Jean's possessions. In 2017 Jean had cancer treatment and was given all clear. In 2020 her cancer returned. Jean passed away on May 18th, 2021 after losing her battle with cancer.
