Nate and I drove down to Sanibel and Captiva Islands last week-end. Stayed with friends who were vacationing there from Chicago. Pretty places and the weather was dry, cool and beautiful; it made me almost like Florida! I can't wait to put on my cowboy boots and have a margarita or two up in Sedona, though. That's where the heart is!

Sad news to report. Judy Ann Cox Scott, passed away on 02/25/2008:

Judith Ann Scott of Rolling Meadows. Memorial visitation for Judith Ann Scott (nee Cox), 58, will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Community Church of Rolling Meadows, 2720 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Born July 14, 1949, in San Jose, Calif., she died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. Judith had worked as an accountant for GLM and Association for over 12 years. She had served as a room mother, PTA member, soccer board member and a Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the Community Church of Rolling Meadows, where she served as treasurer and played in the bell choir. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Alice Cox; mother of Jessica and Zachary Scott; sister of Harry W. Cox; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her dogs, Shadow, Taffy and Sadie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scott children. Arrangements were made by Meadows Funeral Home, Rolling Meadows, 847-253-0224.
