I'm very sorry to pass along this sad news.
Randy Berendt
passed away yesterday, April 15, 2024. I have no
other details at this time. Randy has two younger
siblings that graduated from WHS. Darrell Berendt
'69, a classmate of mine; and Cheryl Berendt
Christensen '71.

It was brought to my attention this morning that Thomas E. Josephs, class
of 1967, passed away in February 2024 from heart failure and cancer. Tom
was living in Tampa, FL at the time of his death. There was no obituary
posted by his family. I have no other details at this time. Rest in peace Tom. |

Regrettably, I have to report that James Patrick Sheppard, passed away on
January 4th, 2024. This information was related to me by Jim's
younger sister, Kathy who graduated from WHS in 1971. Apparenly Jim
didn't actually graduate with your class, but instead enlisted in the
military before graduating...not that that matters at all. That's
why he didn't have a senior picture in the yearbook. Funeral Mass for Jim will be held at St. John's The Baptist, Catholic Church 0S233 Church St., Winfield, IL, 60190 on January 30th, 2024 Visitation at 10:00 and Mass at 10:30. There will be a luncheon at Sebahar Hall to celebrate Jim's life. Military Honors and comittal/burial will follow at noon at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL, 60421
