Sad news, Michael Rosi passed away today, after fighting a nobel battle
with cancer. WHS sibling alumni of Michael's are John Rosi '70, and
Janice & Julie Rosi '76.

Gloria J Schuh Weber died of cancer on June 13, 2000. She passed away in Holmen, La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Gloria has older siblings, Michael Schuh '66 and John Schuh '71 who are WHS grads. | |||

Michael J. Murphy is reported deceased. Michael passed away May 21, 2002. Michael didn't have a senior picture in the yearbook and I have been unable to determine if Michael was related to any of the other Murphy's that graduated from WHS. Rest in Peace Michael. | |||

Paul J. Komosa passed away on 11/19/2008. Paul had two younger
siblings who both graduated from WHS. Nancy J Komosa '73 (missing), and
Mark D. Komosa '74 of Santa Fe, NM.
A memorial service for Paul J. Komosa, 54, took place on Monday, Nov. 24, at St. John Brebeuf Church. A memorial wake was Sunday, Nov. 23, at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles. Mr. Komosa was born on Mar. 29, 1954 in Chicago. He worked as a shipping supervisor and died on Nov. 19, 2008 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. His father Joseph Komosa preceded him in death. His wife Kathleen (nee Pecho) Komosa; his mother Patricia (nee Smith) Komosa; his children Jason and Justin Komosa; his siblings Diane (Steve) Bank, Mark Komosa, Nancy, Peter (Michelle) Komosa, and JoAnn; and many nieces and nephews survive him.

Gail Marie Herrmann Boldt has been found to have passed away on
09/13/2009. Her older brother William Herrmann '70, the original
Willie Wildcat preceded her in death on 06/04/2005.

Another '72 classmate is reported as deceased. Michael T. Bates, passed away on February 16, 2009. Michael didn't have a senior picture and is NOT related to Gregory Bates '72. Rest in Peace Michael. | |||

Another late notice passing of a member of the class of 1972. Bryce Armstrong, passed away just a little over 10 years ago on July 19, 2013. He was survived by his wife Marsha Rose Morris Armstrong. Bryce had no senior picture and I do not know if he's related to any of the other Armstrong's that graduated from Wheeling High School. Rest in Peace Bryce. | |||

More sad news has come my way. I'm sorry to have to report that Karen
Pruden Smith passed away on July 20, 2013. Karen was part of two
graduating classes. She started at WHS with the class of 1970, but didn't
matriculate until 1972. Karen didn't have a senior picture in either
yearbook so I am posting her junior year picture from 1969. I received this email from Karen's sister Kathy Pruden Ferguson '71, "let you know, my sister Karen passed on July 20th 2013...She had her 2nd battle with cancer. The first battle was with cancer of the throat, had radical surgery , and said to be a cancer survivor,diagnosed. was in 2000 and lived life, took trips, went places etc. In 2012 she was diagnosed with cancer of the lung,stage 3b, stage 4 is end-stage..She had a rough time with this, and a few days before she passed she said she was tired and ready to go to heaven..... Karen was in the hospital and my younger sister was with her and said she passed peacefully" The second picture is of Karen from about 2002 after she had her first throat surgery for cancer. Rest in Peace Karen. |

Sad news to pass along. WHS chemistry teacher Lewis Bowles passed away
on March 2, 2013.
