I just received word that our classmate William Mitchell passed away yesterday afternoon, January 2, 2015.  According to the information I received, He was twenty-four days short of his sixty-fifth birthday. Per his request there will be no wake or funeral. His remains will be cremated. His wife Gina may at some point hold a memorial service for him, but she has no plans at the moment.

William had ALS, but apparently he was also suffering from a lung disorder that left him with only the upper part of both lungs working. This likely hastened the end.
