Michael P. Ainlay
Rest in Peace Michael.

11/27/2016 Ronald F. King I’m sorry to have to pass this very sad news along. I was just informed that Ron F. King '69 was killed in an accident the morning of 11/26/2016. From what I was told, He was working and the ladder he was on collapsed. He fell and was killed immediately.

As I’m sure you know Ron’s wife, Meg Naples is also a class of 1969 WHS alumni.

When I receive information about funeral arrangements, I will pass them along.

Ron didn’t have a senior or junior year photo in the yearbook so I’m going to have to go through them to find a portrait of Ron.

Ron's two older siblings are also WHS alumni, Shirley Ann King Hildebrand of Summerfield, FL, hildebrand1958@yahoo.com ; and Eugene R. King also of Summerfield, FL.
Ronald F. King
Rest in Peace Ron.

10/23/2016 John H. Legh-Page

I’m sorry to have to report that God has finally called John Legh-Page home.  John fought a long hard battle against cancer. He kept cancer at bay for several years, but as cancer so often does, it wins the war.
John H. Legh-Page
Rest in Peace Ron.

Here is a comment from John’s Facebook page posted by his daughter Nadine on this day October 23rd, 2016:

“John's epic battle with cancer has ended. He left in the same fashion as he lived; on his own terms surrounded by loved ones and peace in his heart. His passing was without suffering and a celebration of life will be held at the Downtown Houston Aquarium Saturday, October 29 from 1-4pm. His family invites all of those who were touched by him to come mourn together and share stories of his life. Thank you to everyone who helped shape John’s life by sharing yours with him. He lives on in our hearts and his memory will remain long after he is laid to rest. Sleep well father. You are already sorely missed.”

John was a friend of mine at WHS and we re-established that friendship in recent years.  A few years back he sent me a short biography of his life over 30 years.  You can find it here: http://www.whs69.com/69/bios/legh-pagej/leghpagej.html

John has two older siblings that graduated from WHS, George M. Legh-Page, Jr. ’67, and Kathy Legh-Page ’68.

I encourage you to visit John’s Facebook page and post your memories of John and of course sympathies to John’s family and friends.

08/06/2016 Margaret Roche Neff Another sad loss for the class of 1969. "Just found out that Margaret Roche Neff lost her battle with liver cancer today. Apparently she had only been diagnosed recently and it was very aggressive. Though I haven't seen Margaret since high school, we reconnected through email and here a few years ago. I always think of her smiling face and can still hear her laughter as we dodged flying jello in the cafeteria and enjoyed all kinds of shenanigans during theater productions. Clearly, she was loved by many and will be missed." This information was provided by Lydia Schmidt '69.
