10/12/2018 David Paul Kitto
I'm saddened to report that the Class of 1969 has surrendered another classmate to heaven. Dave Kitto passed away on 10/09/2018.

The following is his obituary...
DAVID's Obituary
David Paul Kitto, Sr., 67 years old, of Fox Lake, IL, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, IL, due to complications associated with open heart surgery. He was born June 2, 1951, in Chicago, IL, and lived most of his life in the northern Illinois area. Dave was one of a kind; he lived every day to the fullest and was always up for anything. He had a passion for golf and live music, and he traveled extensively around the United States, as well as several other countries, throughout his life. He loved traveling so much that upon returning from one adventure, he’d ask when the next trip was. Dave owned and operated Kitto Builders for many years, and he truly enjoyed working. He was a master carpenter and jack-of-all-trades. He held his clients and associates close to his heart. Dave knew how to have fun and he was the most caring and patient person ever. His family meant the world to him and they will miss him dearly.

Survivors include his wife, Susan (nee Lass); his children, David P. (Patty) Kitto, Jr of Arlington Heights, IL, Tammy Kitto of Odessa, FL, and Michele (Ethan) Gill of San Bruno, CA; siblings, John (Karen) Paz of Flower Mound, TX, Paul (Crystal) Kitto of Trevor, WI, and Carol (Doug) Smith of Tracy, CA; his uncle Roger (Betty) Erdman; grandchildren, Deven, Donté, Kameron, Drayk, and Brittany; a great-granddaughter, Haylee; numerous nieces and nephews; his father and mother-in-law, Larry and Barbara Lass; brothers-in-law, Larry (Deniese) Lass, John (Michelle) Lass, James (Angie) Lass, and Robert Lass; extended family on his mother’s side; and his dear friend Sandra Kitto — although they went their separate ways, they remained lifelong friends and he loved being her secret football pool partner. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Louise (Rogers) Kitto, and a niece, Alyssa Lass.

A memorial visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Maravela’s Banquet Hall, 4 Washington Ave., Fox Lake, IL. A memorial service will commence at 1PM, and immediately following the service, the family would like to encourage and invite everyone to stay for a true celebration of Dave’s life — with a time to tell stories and food and drinks, just as Dave wanted. Arrangements were entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 847-395-4000. It was important to Dave that his grandchildren receive a college education; in lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution.

Rest in Peace in God's arms Dave. You will be sorely missed.

07/29/2018 Edwin Haase
I am truly saddened and shocked to have to report that one of my own classmates and in fact someone I went to school with from Kindergarten all the way through high school with has passed away this morning (07/29/2018).
We were in Warren Birkett's grade school and junior high band together. I'm at a total loss. The last time I talked with Ed on the phone he was so happy. He always seemed to be enjoying life. This is so sad. Ed or Eddie as we called him in grade school was always such a nice guy. He always sent me Christmas cards for probably the last 25 years or so. I know when Christmas comes there will be something missing. Rest in Peace Ed. You are remembered and missed.
I want to than Carole Bell for reaching out to me with this sad news.
